Hello, I have a GRE 410 scanner and I have three or four channels locked
out permenetly and now I wish to un lock same. Will I nee sighted help for
this.

Probably so if you're not sure which number of that or those channels you're
dealing with. Another good use for the PSR Edit software we've been talking
about here. In that case. You'd just hook your radio up to your computer,
find those which are locked out & simply unlock them. Or, just dump the
program which did not have them locked out back in to the radio.

Hello Sean, thank you for getting back to me. I've downloaded the
software for my scanner. Now I only have to pay the $25.00 to activate it.
I'm told once I do that I'll need some kind of premium subscription to the
RadioReference.com web this whole thing sounds like a rat race.I can't
understand as to why they make it so dificult to do.

You get 1 month of free access to the software. You do not need a
subscription to RR @ all. If you're loading & moving trunk systems. A
subscription to RR certainly makes importing systems so much easier. But if
you're just manually adding conventional frequencies. You should be able to
get by without one at all.
