If you didn't change any of the switch configurations in the
probe or on the main unit, then once you put new batteries in,
then get the unit to where it should say outdoor temperature and
push the round button, I think it's the only one on the back of
the main unit maybe the lefthand button and hold it. It will
beep twice and probably say nothing. If you do this repeatedly,
it should finally give you the outdoor temperature as indicated
by the probe. This is from my own experience with the unit I
have and I don't have any idea what the model number for it is
either. So I guess I am just sharing my ignorance with you about
this, but hopefully it will work. 73, Jim WA6EKS

Subject: RE: Atomic clock probe frequency?

Sorry Jim, I don't know the answer to your question.

I do have questions of my own though. Once I replace the
batteries in the
probe, how do I I get the main unit to recognize it again? In the
version I
have, the probe has a three-way switch in the battery
compartment; the main
unit has a two-way switch. Does anyone know the functionn of
these switches?

I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know the model number of the
clock, and I
don't have an electronic copy of the instructions. Perhaps
someone
recognizes the model from my description. Thanks for any
assistance.

Subject: Atomic clock probe frequency?

Sorry to get back on the subject of the talking atomic clock with
the
outdoor probe again. But I think the frequency of the probe may
be up near
router WiFi frequencies where ever they are, because I've noticed
that when
I position my router in a room between my clock-receiver and
where the
outdoor probe is, after a while the receiver no longer says the
outdoor
temp. Taking the receiver nearer to the probe, and holding the
reset button
on the clock when it's on the outdoor temp setting, it will come
back after
a short time. I'd be interested in others thoughts on this, not
to beat a
dead horse or something. 73, Jim WA6EKS
