Netflix does not provide an option to directly delete your login history. However, you can sign out of all devices currently logged in to your account by going to your Account settings, selecting "Sign out of all devices," and confirming the action. This will effectively clear your login history across all devices.

To remove a title from your "Continue Watching" row, navigate to the title, select the three-dot icon below it, choose "Remove from Row," and confirm your selection. This action will remove the selected title from your "Continue Watching" list across all devices, ensuring a cleaner and more personalized viewing.

Netflix uses your viewing history to make recommendations based on your interests. However, if you share your Netflix account with others or if you have watched content that is not reflective of your preferences, it can skew the recommendations you receive. By modifying your viewing history, you can ensure that the suggestions you receive are more accurate and aligned with your current preferences.

Since its establishment in 1997, Netflix has revolutionized how we watch television. Originally a DVD-by-mail service, the company has transformed itself into a global streaming platform with over 150 million subscribers. With a wide variety of content, including original programming, movies, and documentaries, there is something for everyone on Netflix.

While it's not necessary to keep a record of everything you've ever watched on Netflix, there are times when you want to check your watching history but are worried about how to watch it on Netflix. Whether you're trying to remember the name of a movie you saw a while ago or want to make sure you're keeping up with your New Year's resolution to watch more documentaries, your Netflix viewing history can be a helpful resource.

Netflix offers a variety of ways for you to view your history. You can see all the episodes you've watched on a particular show and how long you watched each episode. You can also see a list of all the movies and TV shows you've added to your watch history and when you added them. If you want to hide an episode from your history, click on the "x" next to the episode. If you have any problems with your recent episodes, you can report them by clicking on the "?" next to that episode.

Once the file is downloaded, it will be saved in CSV format. You can open the file using software like MS Excel etc. Another way to open the file is in Google Docs. Here's how to view the watch history file in CSV format in Google Docs.

Netflix is a Chrome extension that extracts data from a Netflix account and displays it so one can analyze some patterns and get the required information. The extension can also break this data down further, telling you how long you've spent watching different types of content (e.g., documentaries, comedies) and how much of your total viewing time has been dedicated to movies or TV shows. This information can be really helpful in understanding your own Netflix habits and seeing where you might want to make changes.

While Netflix offers exciting movies and series and throws some achievement awards to entertain users throughout the day, the downside offers children exposure to violent or adult videos, due to which kids may interpret these movies incorrectly, affecting their mentality and behavior.

The feature of "because you watched" can not be reset or turned off. I don't want people and guests seeing what I watched. However, this feature can't be reset. Roku will will then suggest other types of movies it thinks are related. People think I'm a freak or ideologically bereft. I'm going to erase my account and go to a firestick where they do not have such an inane feature. Roku refuses to fix this problem.

Can you please provide more information about the issue you are seeing? Can you provide a screenshot of within The Roku Channel so we can better understand what the issue is? When you select content within this section, can you press the * button and have the ability to remove that content?

I don't know away either. The watched history is different and does have a clear option. It's Roku's menu that is holding their suggestions to the movie in need of removing. No way to unlink, clear or delete.

Agreed, the "because you watched" feature needs to be removed, or at least have a way to clear the "suggestions". Its very annoying to most users and may cause uncomfortable situations with people who don't want others to see what they may have watched at one time or another.

This issue has nothing to do with the Save List. It's almost like you're not reading all of the complaints about this issue. It has to do with the suggestions row that will come on the home screen of the Roku Channel. My teenaged son watched an explicit movie and now we have a suggestion row on our home screen "Because You Watched Live Nude Girls" and it shows us several more explicit movies. We get this right on the top of the Roku Channel home screen, so it assaults us every time we go to the Roku Channel. So we don't go to the Roku Channel anymore. Not sure that's what you want.

Thanks for responding. As you can see from the several posts on this topic, this is a major issue for many of us. I have parental controls set, but my teenager discovered my PIN. (Teenagers work hard to get around the rules.) I have since changed my PIN, but us parents can use all the help we can get. Can you please tell the team responsible for the change to make this a top priority? Can it be made an option to keep or delete? The suggestions can be worthwhile, but they also can be problematic. Let the user decide. Please fix this. Thanks

To delete your Netflix watch history, access your Netflix profile, then go to the Viewing activity section to see your Netflix history. You can delete Netflix movies and shows from the list one by one or clear all of them in one shot.

When you delete shows or movies from your Netflix watch history, the titles will not appear as watched, will not be used to bolster your recommendations, and will be removed from the Continue Watching horizontal row in the app.

The Prime Video app on a mobile phone does not offer a way to remove previously watched items from your history. Therefore, you will have to use a computer browser to access this list and hide items from there.

But before we outline those steps, you should know that you can easily remove items from the Continue watching section of the Prime Video app by touching and holding an item and choosing Hide this video.

Unlike Netflix, Amazon Prime Video does not offer a way to delete all movies and TV shows from your watch history. Therefore, you will have to remove them individually, or you can delete the profile to get rid of your entire watch history.

Netflix and Prime Video let you create profiles so different people can have their separate personalized experiences. For instance, you can have the main profile, and create additional ones for your spouse and your kids.

While you cannot delete your main profile on Netflix and Prime Video, you can delete the other profiles to remove all its watch history and associated data like watchlist history, Continue Watching, etc.

If you've used Netflix a lot, you know how annoying it can be having a long list of "Viewing Activity", aka. stuff you've watched. In a normal browser, it's not so bad. However, as soon as you open it on your phone or a console, you quickly realize how short your choices become. All the simple, full categories like Action and Anime are quickly replaced with rows of Because you watched .... The only way to do away with those rows, appears to be by going to your "Viewing Activity" and clicking delete next to everything you watch! What's the quickest way to clean up this list?!

Please Note: The following is a semi-permanent solution and will begin automatically cleaning your viewing history every time you visit the page. If that's not the solution for you, please skip to end!

First, if you don't already, get Google Chrome (Note: The extension I mention is available on FireFox as well). Then go to Google Chrome Web Store and add Custom JavaScript of websites (cjs) to your Chrome extensions. This simple extension will allow you to run custom JavaScript on any website you visit, and includes use of jQuery!

The following is full instructions for getting to Viewing Activity page. Quick link button at end of paragraph, if it's not a dead link by the time you read this.
Now go to your Netflix account. Highlight your icon in upper right (your account name) and click on Your Account in the drop down that should appear. Scroll down to My Profile and click on Viewing Activity.

Now to make use of your new extension! First, copy the code below (at end) so you'll have it ready. Now, on your Netflix Viewing Activity page, open the cjs Chrome Extension. If you don't see it in your toolbar, look for a double right arrow at the end of your address bar. Click it to drop down your extensions. With cjs open, highlight and delete placeholder text. Paste in the code below, then click Save. The page will reload, and you'll immediately begin seeing action taking place.

The one caveat is that you have to scroll down to get all your viewing activity to show up. For this reason, and for the sake of not creating an overloading loop, you may have to reload the page a few times to get ALL your viewed movies/shows deleted from your history. I'm currently working on a better solution to that issue, but haven't really thought of one yet, and since mine is all cleaned up, I have little to test against! (which is a good thing, means this works great with semi-regular visits to the page).

Now open your browsers developer tools. In most browsers this is as simple as pressing F12. Most Developer tools are divided into tabs. Make sure your in the tab that says and/or contains Console. There you can enter JavaScript manually. Now, before you enter any code, make sure your page is scrolled all the way to bottom. Netflix will autoload only so many rows at a time. In order to do this to your full viewing activity, you'll need to scroll until you reach the pages footer. Once your satisfied the list is full, simply Paste the code into the console and run it. For most browsers, that's as simple as pressing enter key, though some have a Run button to click on. Viola! You're done! Sit back and watch your history clean up!
