I was logged in to apple tv today and wanted to access my netflix account that does not have the same apple id email. It has now told me my apple id and password are not valid. I reset it on my ipad and still all devices are not accepting the password. I have sense cleared my id's in netflix and mlb, but stilll not able to login to anything.

netflix account info and apple id info are totally separate. You could use the same email and password for both but not necessarily, but even if this is the case, they are totally independent of each other.

How do I sign into netflix on a computer with my Xfinity account? I want to browse and view programs and mark things to view later, but I can't sign directly into Netflix. I found an older post, but the link it references no longer works and just goes back to the Forums Home Page.

That sort of worked, thanks. I didn't exactly find settings with my User Name & Password but I did find what email address was registered under Help. So I was then able to do a password reset with Netflix. using that email address.

if you subscribe through your Xfinity subscription, go to the x1 Netflix app, and go into settings and account. you will find a menu item where you can get a username/password to access on other devices from that menu.

could i ask you some silly favor could you write the password let in text file then copy it from that file then use it to login in netflix in both safari and brave just to make sure there was not mistake or issue with some key on your keyboard that play you

it happens only on netflix, other websites facebook and instagram are working, yeah i tried to copy from my phone and paste it on safari, it worked then i did the same on brave, no password incorrect.

One of the factors identified by Netflix as a driver of its latest subscriber slowdown is the widespread practice of account sharing. In addition to 222 million paying households, Netflix estimates that more than 100 million households have access to its service by sharing someone else's password, including over 30 million households in the U.S. and Canada.

Those estimates, while alarming, are consistent with the results of a recent survey conducted by Morning Consult. The market research firm found that a significant number of Americans share a Netflix account with someone outside their household, which is technically illegal. According to the survey of 2,209 U.S. adults conducted in April 2022, 17 percent of the respondents access Netflix using someone else's password, with 11 percent using the account of someone outside their own home.

Having long looked the other way when it came to account sharing, accepting it as a necessary evil during a period of rapid growth, Netflix can no longer afford such generosity, as it desperately needs to reaccelerate its user growth. What some call a coming crackdown on password sharing, Netflix calls "more effective monetization of multi-household sharing," which it has already piloted in three Latin American markets. Earlier this year, subscribers in Costa Rica, Peru and Chile were given the option to add sub-accounts for up to two people outside their own household for a reduced membership fee.

When this model is inevitably introduced in the United States as well, it'll likely meet a split reaction. According Morning Consult, 55 percent of streaming subscribers would not be willing to pay a higher fee to legally share their account with others, while 33 percent would be interested in such an offer. The latter figure in particular shows that there is a market for paid password sharing, that could help Netflix ease its subscriber woes in the short term.

Just switched to firefox as my default and found that I can't sign in to netflix. It always gives me the "incorrect password" message. I've tried resetting the password, clearing cookies, restarting, turning the DNS proection off, restarting my computer, etc to no avail. Anyone else have this issue or know a potential solution?

update: it turns out it seems it was caused by having NordVPN's threat protection turned on. Don't know why that only effects specifically logging into netflix on firefox, but who knows. Thanks for all the suggestions!
