I just came across TokuMX, and was curious as to its compatibility with Mongoid?

Thanks,
Rob

Doesn't matter since they've just changed the underlying index implementation. There's no change to the wire protocol or the BSON implementation.

Just rephrasing to make sure I got it right, so it means mongoid should work well with tokumx for mongodb without any special configuration or additional gems.

TokuMX is a drop-in replacement for MongoDB. Every command is the same, clients don't even notice they talk to TokuMX instead of MongoDB. You shouldn't have any compatibility issues.

Does this also mean Mongoid will have Document Level locking without requiring any extensions ruby side? (eg. https://github.com/burgalon/mongoid_optimistic_locking‎, https://github.com/afeld/mongoid-locker‎ )
