Is there a way to reference the "parent" document of an EmbeddedDocument within the EmbeddedDocument?

I'm looking to write a method on an EmbeddedDocument that references
the parent document of an EmbeddedDocument. Is this possible in
MongoEngine?

I'm interested too in finding a solution to get the parent reference from an EmbeddedDocument.
