Hello. When I try to install MongoDB as a local user, it says the password, domain or user name is incorrect, even though it let me install as a network user. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

Hi,

This sounds like a permission issue with your OS platform and not MongoDB itself. Are you able to install any other softwares?

So that others could help answer your question better, it’d be helpful if you could provide:

  • Operating System that you’re trying to install this on
  • How do you install MongoDB ? Are you following any tutorial?
  • What is the command that you’re trying to execute ?
  • What is the exact error that you’re getting ?

You may find Install MongoDB Community Edition as a useful reference.

Regards,
Wan.
