libmongoc vs MongoDB supported versions

Hello All,

I am currently using libmongoc version 1.9.3 and using it with MongoDB version 3.4, 3.6 and 4.0. Is this supported?

In general, is there a supportability matrix of libmongoc versions and MongDB versions?

Hi Mohammed,

Yes there is a compatibility matrix available, please see C Driver Compatibility for recommended version(s) of the driver for use with a specific version of MongoDB server(s).

If you’re using MongoDB 4.0, I would recommend to upgrade version 1.11.
