I have seen the page at http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Ubuntu+and+Debian+packages and noticed that it doesnt have A Debian repo for the 'squeeze' release. I feel compelled to ask, is there any repository that 10gen wil create for Debian Squeeze?

Thanks a lot.

We'll certainly have a repo for it once it's the stable release, and
possibly sooner.

Richard

I'm using the stable Lenny package on Squeeze, and haven't had any problems.

@Nick Just adding the lenny source repo add to sources.list is enough? Or is there anything more to it?

Pretty much. I put the APT entry into a new file, just to keep things neat and tidy:

[nick@tuatara ~] cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb.org.list
deb http://downloads.mongodb.org/distros/debian 5.0 10gen
[nick@tuatara ~]

After that, run
    $ sudo aptitude update

10gen provides 3 MongoDB packages. From the download page:
"We publish 3 distinct packages, named mongodb-stable, mongodb-unstable, mongodb-snapshot, corresponding to our latest stable release, our latest development release, and the most recent git checkout at the time of building."
