Need to have Document versioning in MongoDB, need some suggestions

Hi, i am trying to keep the older version of documents in mongodb for future reference.

Tried to use vermongo, but i was not successful when i followed the procedure of the following link.

Can you guys post you experience, how to implement that?
Appreciate any specific documents or links.
