Hi All,

I have a Linux distro compiled with 'Yocto - Jethro'. Want to install mongodb on system.
System architecture is 'armel' and processor is i.MX6UL.

The output of 'uname -a' command is as below:

Linux lumenuxgateway 4.1.15-1.1.1-technexion+gecb66a3 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue May 9 14:09:14 IST 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux

How to install monngodb on this system?
If required, will provide more information.

Regards,
Jaymin

Hi -

MongoDB requires a 64-bit processor; ARMv7 is a 32-bit architecture. If you want to run MongoDB on ARM, you will need an ARMv8 based system.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi,

One of solution:

Have downloaded mongodb for armel from this link. [mongodb-linux-armv7l-2.4.1.tgz]
Currently, it is working on board without any errors.

Thanks,
Jaymin

Please be aware that:

- MongoDB 2.4 is extremely old, and is no longer supported.
- 32-bit MongoDB can only support 1GB of data.
- You are running binaries that were not produced by MongoDB, so we have no idea what they actually contain or do.
- Should you encounter a bug in 2.4.1, you will have no newer version to move forward to.

If this is just for experimentation, then the above caveats can be ignored, but I would strongly advise against proceeding with this configuration for anything real.

Thanks,
Andrew
