MongoDB 1.8.3 has been released.
This is the latest release in the 1.8 stable branch.
It is a recommended upgrade for anyone running 1.8.x

Notable changes:
- Lower default stack size on linux
- Improve mongos SLAVE_OK processing
- Command timing no longer includes initial lock acquisition time
- Reduce impact on the doner shard during shard migration
- Increase javascript heap size from 8 to 64mb.
