While upgrading MongoDb from 3.2 to 3.4 using binaries I got the error  "The program can't start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. "

Has anyone encountered this issue before ? please provide a solution.Another thing to note that I do not have admin rights on my laptop so cannot run the msi file.

Try installing Update for Universal C Runtime in Windows first. This may be caused by your Windows Operating System missing the update patch.

If you are still having this problem after the above attempt, please provide:

• Specific Windows version that you have. i.e. Windows Server 2012 R2, etc.
• Specific MongoDB version that you have i.e. 3.4.2
• If you are installing the binaries from MongoDB zip files, what is the name of the zip files ? This should contain the specific build of the binaries
• Any other information that can be used to replicate the problem

Another thing to note that I do not have admin rights on my laptop so cannot run the msi file.

In order to apply the above update you may require admin privileges.
