Issue starting Mongo on 10.04

I get the following error when trying to start mongo. (Using `mongo`
at the command line).

mongo: error while loading shared libraries: libmozjs.so: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

When I check the service and attempt to start it (`service mongodb
start`) I get the following:

start: Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call",
sender=":1.6" (uid=1000 pid=4273 comm="start)
interface="com.ubuntu.Upstart0_6.Job" member="Start" error
name="(unset)" requested_reply=0
destination="com.ubuntu.Upstart" (uid=0 pid=1 comm="/sbin/init))

Anyone run into this?

How did you install? The ubuntu hosted packages may be broken.

You should use our official ones:

I installed it from the link Eliot mentioned and it's working (Ubuntu
10.4).

No, it was working, now it's not. Would reinstalling from the official
packages remove my collections?

I think ubuntu broken them by upgrading firefox or something.

Switching to the official shouldn't impact your data - though a backup
before upgrading might be prudent :)

This is a bare server, Firefox isn't installed (or shouldn't be).
That's the one confusing thing about this. Does Mongo use FF drivers /
libraries for something?

mongo uses spider monkey - which on ubuntu is only available through
xulrunner - which is part of firefox and other mozilla things.

I feel rather stupid now. I installed the `mongo-stable` package, and
then the `service mongodb start` didn't work again. I then tried `sudo
service mongodb start` and mongo happily started up. >:|

I fixed it by installing the mongodb-stable package from
http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Ubuntu+and+Debian+packages

What issue are you having specifically?
