Can any one explain the difference between

MongoDB MMS on Premise And Ops Manager.

Which one to choose for the mongoDB 2.x version deployments.

Also, does wildtiger storage support any versions below 3.0..

Please let me know..

Thanks,
Bharadwaj

Hi Bharadwaj,

To be clear, MMS on-premise solutions are only available to commercial subscribers.

For support (if you aren't already a CS customer) you can contact MongoDB via:
 http://www.mongodb.com/lp/contact/ops-manager

MMS OnPrem includes Backup & Monitoring; Ops Manager is the latest release which also adds support for Automation and MongoDB 3.0.

If you're starting a new deployment I think it would make sense to be deploying the latest Ops Manager release. You'd have to check the install documentation for minimum MongoDB version requirements.

As noted by Bret, WiredTiger (and pluggable storage) was first introduced in MongoDB 3.0. WiredTiger is also only available on 64-bit platforms.

Stephen
