Im sorry to say but the C++ driver does not currently have native SSL.

I should also mention that there is a Jira available for it at https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/SERVER-7747

Oh nice. Elliot say it does if we just compile the driver with the MONGO_SSL environment varible and setting that varible. Maybe we can change the scons build script for the driver to have a --ssl switch like the sever has.

You can build it with SSL, the --ssl switch is 100% needed.

But the code logic to set the "sslOnNormalPorts" is only triggered from within the cmdLine object, so you would need to set it manually at this stage.
