Hi Amarendra,

Make sure that C:\MongoDB\data exists and is accessible before executing the command.

If you are running 32-bit Windows, please also ensure that you have downloaded the correct installer. The 64-bit versions of MongoDB do not work with 32-bit Windows. See Install MongoDB on Windows for more information.

If you are running any edition of Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7, please see install a hotfix to resolve an issue with memory mapped files on Windows.

please provide me 2.6.11 version. i am not able to download this version….

I would recommend to use the latest stable version of MongoDB, currently v3.2.7. However, if you are wanting version v2.6.x you could still download this from the download-center under ‘Previous Releases’ section.

If you still have further questions, could you post relevant details of :

  • Specific version of Windows that you are using
  • The full installer file name that you used. This could be a .msi or a .zip file extension.
  • Any mongod log messages.

Kind regards,

Wan.
