MongoDB licensing and pricing

Hi everyone,

I'm new in this group. I work in a software house and we are evaluating to integrate our platform with MongoDB or CouchBase, but I'm not sure it's a good idea because of licensing and pricing: is it mandatory for our customer (if the solution we develop is on his server) to buy the commercia license (which can be more or less 10k euro for year)? If the solution is only a little solution, are there any alternatives? I know that there's the open source licence for MongoDB, but it's an AGPL license and I think that in this case we should deploy our platform with the same license, and that's not acceptable for us.

Any idea?
