I found a lot of these messages in log: info DFM::findAll(): extent 0:2000 was empty, skipping ahead. ns:db.collection

Is it still true answer? I use last version (2.4.6) of MongoDB on Linux 64bit.

Yes, that's still caused by deletions in a collection that leave an
internal extent without any records.

Compact for collection or repair DB will both eliminate the messages.
