Error starting mongod 2.4.8 on Vista, entry point TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive not located

I just downloaded the latest version of mongodb on a 64 bit Vista Pro box.  When I enter mongod at the command line, an alert pops up with the error message, "The procedure entry point TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive could not located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

What have I done wrong?

I think you probably downloaded the regular 64-bit Windows build, which requires Windows Server 2008 or newer to run.

To run on Vista, you need to download the '64-bit Legacy' Windows build from here: http://www.mongodb.org/downloads.

Yep, that did it.  Now I have another problem but I'll post that separately.  Thanks for the fix!

I reinstall a new version over and old version of wamp server on my windows vista 32 bit, then i had to uninstall the new version and the old one, and i had to delete manualy the folder wamp. At last i install the new version of wamp server and before finished it appear an alert pops up with the error message, "The procedure entry point TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive could not located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
Can you help me ??? I saw here a post with the same problem in vista 64 bit, mine is 32 bit, but the problem is the same
