Version 2.3rc1 of the MongoDB Python driver (PyMongo) has been
released.
This is the first (and likely only) release candidate for PyMongo 2.3.
Since this is a release candidate it is not being pushed to PyPi. You
can install it with pip or easy_install following these directions:
http://api.mongodb.org/python/current/installation.html#installing-a-release-candidate
Important features of the 2.3 release:
Support for expanded read preferences -
http://api.mongodb.org/python/current/examples/high_availability.html#secondary-reads
Support for mongos failover -
http://api.mongodb.org/python/current/examples/high_availability.html#mongos-high-availability
A new aggregation framework helper -
http://api.mongodb.org/python/current/api/pymongo/collection.html#pymongo.collection.Collection.aggregate
Change Log:
http://api.mongodb.org/python/2.3rc1/changelog.html
Documentation:
http://api.mongodb.org/python/2.3rc1/index.html
As always, let us know if you have any problems.
