My build.sbt (Play 2.3.0) looks like this:

name := """bla bla"""

version
:= "1.0-SNAPSHOT"

lazy val root
= (project in file(".")).enablePlugins(PlayJava)

scalaVersion
:= "2.11.1"

libraryDependencies
++= Seq(
  javaJdbc
,
  javaEbean
,
  cache
,
  javaWs
,
  cache
,

"org.mongodb" % "mongo-java-driver" % "2.8.0",

"net.vz.mongodb.jackson" %% "play-mongo-jackson-mapper" % "1.1.0"
)

and when trying to update my project I get:

[info] Resolving net.vz.mongodb.jackson#play-mongo-jackson-mapper_2.11;1.1.0 ...

Any ideas why? According to http://www.playframework.com/documentation/2.3.0/Modules MongoDB Jackson Mapper Plugin (Java) is supported in Play 2.

Thanks,
Bartosz

Sounds like just a dependency issue, but hard to say.  Note also that this is the group for mongojack and play-mongo-jackson-mapper is a separate project.

I don't know anything about Play, but looking in Maven Central that version of the dependency doesn't exist.

It looks like you should use:
libraryDependencies += "net.vz.mongodb.jackson" % "play-mongo-jackson-mapper_2.10" % "1.1.0"
