Whenever I run manim 0.6.0 with the -t flag for transparent video backgrounds, the resultung .mov file can't be played by Windows Media Player on Windows 10 (or the Photos app, which can usually play videos as well). On Linux everything works perfectly fine. Could someone please check if that's a manim bug or a problem with my windows installation?

As this is a bit field, you cannot interpret flags by decoding the hex value and looking at the resulting number. For example, a flag 00000001 could be encoded as 01 in hex, or 09 in hex if present with the flag 00001000. A common mistake in bit fields is forgetting to mask when interpreting flags.
Note, many existing systems that are not capable of propagating the wholetrace-id will not propagate tracestate header either. However, such systemcan still use tracestate header to propagate additional data that is known bythis system. For example, some systems use two flags indicating whetherdistributed trace needs to be recorded or not. In this case one flag can be sendas sampled flag of traceparent header and tracestate can be used to sendand receive an additional flag. Compliant systems will propagate this flag alongall other key/value pairs. Existing systems which are not capable oftracestate propagation will truncate all additional values from tracestateand only pass along that flag.
The transparent filter flag has been introduced with SPS09. Its purpose is to avoid the inclusion of attributes in aggregations when the attributes are only needed for filtering. For example, the following query
The first example will lead to different results depending on whether an additional filter that actually does not reduce any data is included in the query or not. In the second example the transparent filter flag will be used and by this the same results will be returned by the queries with and without filter (remember that for illustrative purposes in these examples the filter is defined in a way that no records are removed by it).
These two examples should have demonstrated that it is important to specify what semantics is expected for a filter. Should the attribute that is used in the filter be included when aggregating, or not. If the intended behavior is to ignore the filter attribute during aggregation then the transparent filter flag can be used.
Hi Jan, if I use input parameter to apply the filter on a column instead of where clause, does this column will be taken in Aggregation node group by? I am assuming that, transparent filter is not required in case of Input parameter filter. can you confirm this please?
Thanks for this interesting comment. In principle you will also need a transparent filter flag for columns on which input paramter filter. However, with input parameters you have the option to define the filter below the crucial aggregation. In that case you would not need the transparent filter flag. In the example above this would mean to define an input parameter in CV2 and CV1, map the input parameters, and define the filter below the count distinct aggregation.
Hello! I'm using transparent filter in a calculation, but if I execute a SELECT COUNT DISTINCT of the dimension with the flag set to true, I receive the following error: SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: search table error: [34108] Unkeep Attribute could not be removed.
I don't know if this is directly related to the transparent flagging window issue, but this seems to be a bit different. The window will only show up entirely by hovering the mouse over the area not covered by the new answer box. Clicking in the overlapped area will cause the window to disappear.
