I am working on an android quiz app and I need to change the color of the buttons when a wrong answer is selected. I have it setup to already change the color if the button they select is wrong OR if the button they select is right. So what is the best way to ALSO change the color of the button with the correct answer when a incorrect answer is selected? If that makes sense. Basically I need to have 2 buttons that the color is changed when you select the wrong answer. Red for the wrong answer they selected and green for the right answer that they obviously did not select. Answers are shuffled as well so not sure how to tell which one is right.

I'm working on my first Android project -- a simple one Activity app that is informational in nature. In the Android studio I have the theme setup to material light and I have my android Layout to align both TextViews to the right. Image one shows how it looks in Android Studio. However, whenever I run it in an emulator or on an Android device I get the following in Image 2. The text aligns left instead of right and the the theme changes from white to purple.

In setting up my new Samsung S4 mini one contact (guy) got confused with another (girl). When the girl would phone me, I'd see the guy's picture (via google) and name. Somehow I changed the number and saved the girl as a separate new entry. Along the way, I must have done something wrong, cuz as a result I've now got the following entries in contacts:

So I was super excited when Google announced studio bot at i/o this year. But after trying it out for work these last few days, it's pretty bad. Its been wrong most of the time and it hallucinates often and just writes up code that makes zero sense. I've pasted every promp into gpt-4 and it is light years ahead of studio bot.
So just beware out there guys and take every response it gives you with a grain of salt.

If you are using the OpenVPN for Android app then if you recreate a profile but uncheck the store certificate in android certificate store checkbox then when you try to start the openvpn profile on the phone you will get a request for the password. If your password is correct then that will start the openvpn profile up. I checked that with my android 11 phone and I was able to get it to work.

I would also suggest creating a new client connection with a simple password of on ly letters and numbers and no special characters just in case the android certificate store in android 13 has had some password restrictions applied to it.

The problem is not with IPFire but with your phone manufacturers tailored version of Android 13. They look to have decided to not update the android certificate store to be able to recognise and manage the more secure Openssl3 certificates and it only works with the less secure legacy certificates.

How you extract the CA, CERT and KEY from the PKCS12 cert can be searched via your favorite search machine for your operating system. There are plenty of tutorials, but not all are extracting the right values with newest OpenSSL version, just use 2 or 3 with different command line options to see if the extracted code is the same. For the TLS-AUTH option, just copy the content of the TA.key.

FYI: The phone manufacturers did nothing wrong this time. The certificate store on Android can only be changed by Google or a company working with them on this topic to be integrated in the offical build, otherwise the device will get flagged as not certificated in the Google App Store declining downloading apps like Netflix, Disney+ etc.! So this is not an option even for Open Source distributions like LineageOS to get rid of this situation.

I've typed my email and password many times, avoiding any typos, and it still tells me it's wrong. It's ridiculous, since I created my FitBit account with my Google account. I checked my Google account password again just in case, and it was indeed what I was typing. I can login in a browser, but not in the app.

well, something happened to change the keystore that your app is using! i was just suggesting the most common things. another possibility is someone ran expo build:android -c or expo build:android --clear-credentials or ran expo credentials and removed the keystore.

And like most single-page apps, the default HTML included lots of helpful developer information that is intended to be used for trouble-shooting, but never actually displayed in a web browser when things are working properly. Even worse, the template is the same for all URLs on the site, so Google got the same (wrong) interpretation for every page it crawled.

In a sense, this is how we learn. We can take all the programming boot camps and courses under the sun, but real learning comes from frustration. Real knowledge and understanding come from hours spent stepping through code in a debugger. Unfortunately for me, this project had taken on new meaning and it was no longer the right context for me to explore and learn.

I am using the Samsung Galaxy Tab4 and have the same problem with the date and time. I would just boot up and it would suddenly be totally out of whack. Happens at least once a day. Using the same method as you discribe, I reset it to the correct date and time and have noticed that even though that changed, the time zone did not and remained correct. How do I get this to stop? I don't always notice the time malfunction right away and it buggers with my appointment notifications.

Enter the settings menu, click on Location, and select battery-saving mode. As for brightness, you should avoid using auto-brightness and instead turn your screen down somewhere below halfway, or to a level that is acceptable for your eyes.

An error state is a screen that is shown when things go wrong. It is an example of a situation where the user is getting something other than their desired state. Since errors can occur in surprising combinations, these states can include anything from incompatible user operations (such as invalid data input), to the inability of an app to connect to the server, or even the inablity to process a user request.

The best error message is the one that never shows up. It is always better to prevent errors from happening in the first place by guiding users in the right direction ahead of time. But, when errors do arise, well-designed error handling not only helps teach users how to use the app as you intended, but also prevents users from feeling ignorant. Of course, the error state is one of the least-desirable states to design for. However, if you put a lot of effort into this state, your product will be infinitely more enjoyable to use.

In order for the time of an appointment or meeting invitation to be reflected properly, settings in your computer's OS, in Outlook, and in OWA must be correct and they must match. There is no reason to suspect that our servers have the wrong time settings since meetings and appointments are always local to your mail client. Read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article on How time zone normalization works in Microsoft Outlook for more information. Check the time zone for OS, OWA, and Outlook using the steps below, and if you are still having the issue, contact Support.
