First class on Monday

We will be teaching our first classes on Monday at Groton High school.

There are two classes, one at 9am and one at 11, both of which are 40 minutes long

The plan is to teach the first class, regroup and discuss what went well and what didn't, adjust, and work on the next class at 11.

Cristina will be holding a mentor training workshop this weekend where you'll be briefed on the lesson plan and how to conduct the activity section of the class. Details on when/where this is happening are on the way.

Oh, and another thing, the mentor training workshop is where we'll decide on who will be lead mentor. Leads deliver the 'Talk' during the first 20 minutes of the class, and really set the pace and energy for the rest of the period.

As such, the success of the lesson really rides on the lead, and his/her charisma, enthusiasm and ability to get the kids fired up to learn about the subject.

So please come by if you think you'd make a good lead or, if you know someone who would, ask them to drop by the training workshop.
