I was about to do the Apollo mission where you infiltrate the factory, and I heard blaze javelin was good, so I decided to spend all my nanites maxing one out. I tested it, and it took like 5 hits to break down a door. I really don't get the point of using it over something like a boltcaster or scatter blaster.
Is there a best creature to farm blaze off of? I read tons of earlier posts about Grazers and using Hunting arrows, esp after they are dead on the containers. Did they patch that ability? I can still do it but even when using the Hunting arrows I only get 4 Blaze per Grazer, and I have tried dozens.
As for armor I don't know, I've always tried to get as much flame protection as possible to get the first few blaze rods for a brewing station and then switch to Prot IV and fire resistance potions as needed.
I think the use for Fire Protection would be on venturing into the Nether for the first time (before finding any blazes) so already having a Fire Resistance potion (or several ideally) would be quite difficult - the only way would be to find a Witch, damage her, light her on fire, and then kill her while she is drinking her Fire Resistance potion.
