I would sort-of agree. I think black wheels look better with a black or otherwise dark car. With a white car, it just looks a bit hollowed out. Almost looks like some base car with the hubcaps missing.
I then downloaded the EA app, downloaded sims medieval, and started it. I'm able to load the game, get through the initial "start game" screen, and then once I start to play, the screen will show me the map for a split second and then it turns black. I can still hear the music and still have the cursor but no screen behind it. I then have to shut down the VM. What can I do to fix this?
Parallels does OK right now for Intel games on Windows 11 ARM, but it's not great. The internal windows emulation layer, coupled with the translation from DirectX to apple silicon GPU is a lot of overhead.
Honestly, if you want to play anything that has any sort of real graphics load, I'd suggest using either a real PC or a cloud gaming service. I use shadow.tech for the latter, which does vastly better than virtualized windows ever did (even with an external GPU on an intel Mac), and runs circles around my M1 using Fusion, parallels, or crossover. The only thing that's faster/better are the handful of mac native games (either intel or arm).
So I was trying to play Infinite Fusion 5.0 but when I opened the game the screen was just black. I waited but nothing happened but when I closed the game it said RGSS is stuck. Closing Infinite Fusion How do I fix this error?
After some research I found out, that Qt 5 now offers a so called Fusion theme which is desribed in one of their blog posts. I really like the theme with the black color configuration you can see in the last picture and I would like to use this in my application but it seems like this color scheme is forced by Unity/Gnome3 (looks like an Ubuntu window) so I am eager to knowing whether there is any available stylesheet or workaround to apply this dark version of the theme to an application.
So basically all you have to do is to use a tool or the QtProject.conf file to manually tune the color palette for the Qt5 apps, and don't forget to start your app with argument '-style fusion' because elsewere on ubuntu it's started with the GTk+ look emulation.
Keep your Sierra Pacific Windows looking and operating beautifully over time. If you have any questions about how to care for and maintain your windows and doors, here are some great resource guides.
For all-around performance and good looks to match, hybrid metallic window tint like PRIME HP BLACK is an optimal choice. Over a classic dyed window tint, metallic window tint will provide strong UV ray protection with a true neutral, "blacked out" appearance for a level of privacy that looks straight from the factory.
The second chassis is the Antec Fusion Remote Black, which also comes with an aluminum front bezel -- this time anodized in black. The height of 140mm is a little more than the Micro Fusion, which allows Antec to install two 120mm fans next to the CPU. The front looks similar to the Micro Fusion, with the only noteworthy difference being that the VFD and the optical drive cover are above one another rather than next to each other. You still get the same number of ports on the front.
Hi, i just installed fusion 360 and whenever i move the mouse or do anything the screen flickers, subtly, but enough to immediately cause eye strain. i'm using a 144hz monitor at 1440p, GTX 1080, and i've already check for driver updates.
Sometimes when an assembly doesn't load, there's still a sense/feeling that "something in the black box has broken." For some folks, the black box is larger and obscures more, than for others. My point is, if you know where to look, there is no box at all.
Here's an example of how a tiny bit of digging saved me hours of confusion recently when I hit an unusual edge case. I was doing a build of sample that was showing C# interop-ing with IronPython, but I was using a daily build of .NET 4 and a random build of IronPython.
Ever since I changed to using Windows 10 in my VMware Fusion virtual machine, I've struggled with a fair bit of latency and audio problems when using the standard HDAudio device. Changing the buffer time didn't make a huge difference, but now I've found a way to install the VMaudio driver and revert to the old es1371 audio device so I can lower the latency. This makes my Windows 10 run like my Windows 7 VM latency-wise, and I figured everyone else could use this info, so here goes (note: This worked for me, but I'm not responsible if your audio breaks):
NB: Whenever something is between quotes, assume that everything between the quotes has to be copied or executed. If there are quotes within the quotes, you do have to include those when you copy the text.
1. While it's shut down and VMware fusion is closed, back up your virtual machine by storing a copy of your .vmwarevm package somewhere else, just in case you need to revert later.
2. Boot up your virtual machine.
3. Go to the menu bar > Virtual Machine >Reinstall VMware Tools, and dismiss the auto-play notification or the setup dialog if they appear.
4. Open up a command prompt (windows key+r, then type "cmd")
5. I like to type "D:" to get to my cd-drive, but you can also type the path directly. Run this command on the drive your VMware tools install is mounted:
"setup64 /a"
press enter.
6. Follow the instructions on screen, and extract to a folder of your choosing.
7. Using Windows explorer, go to the directory where you extracted the VMware tools. Within this directory navigate to the following path:
"VMware\VMware Tools\VMware\Drivers\audio\Vista"
8. Locate the file "vmaudio.inf", and press shift+f10 (or right click) on it.
9. Find "install" in the context menu, and press enter on it. Follow the on screen instructions.
10. Shut down your virtual machine and quit VMware fusion. Now it's time to edit your .vmx file
11. In the mac finder, locate your .vmwarevm package, and bring up the context menu. Navigate to "show package contents".
12. Locate your ".vmx" file.
13. Bring up the context menu, find "open with" and open it in your favorite text editor. Text edit will do.
14. You have to change 2 lines in this file. If the line "sound.virtualDev = "hdaudio"" is present, change it to "sound.virtualDev = "es1371""
Next, add this line if it is not already present, and experiment with the buffer length. I find that 30 is a good number: pciSound.playBuffer = "30""
Finally, if you already tweaked the sound.bufferTime parameter with the new hdaudio device, I'm not sure it makes a difference or not. You can possibly leave it there, but I deleted it. Then save your .vmx-file
15. Go into fusion, and boot your machine. Hopefully it should now be much more responsive.
Hi,
Very nice guide, thanks for this! Sadly it doesn't work for me.
On Windows 10, the item for reinstalling VMware Tools is not available in my VMware Fusion Window. When I run Windows XP, that is available but I can not enter the command "d:\setup /a", because the VmwareTools-Disk is ejected once I dismis the setup dialog.
I know the guide wasn't for windows XP but I've distorted sound there and I hoped to fix this issue that way.
Having spent the better part of 3 days throwing every crack, hack, mod, configuration, reconfiguration, black magic, voodoo and dirty looks at a Win10x64 VMWare Workstation VM running on a Linux (Manjaro) host trying to get audio in general but microphone specifically to work - needed for the Windows only team collaboration software required by my TAFE for Covid19 lockdown remote learning - this was the ONLY solution that worked! Worked perfectly too, I might add.
Top job on figuring out the workaround and cheers for sharing it mate. Saved the day and my sanity. Will be drinking to your good health for the next year. :-)
Black doors with dark floors, or this much black trim (below), or certainly not with black walls too, will immediately take your black quota over the tipping point. Your walls should stay fresh and light.
Lots of good advice on painting black! I love the drama of black anything but it sure is easy to overdo! Case in point IMHO is the black room with the white chairs above. To me it becomes caverness! I have a client who just installed new doors and painted the outside black and the inside white. After seeing them painted I wish we would have done black on both sides because she has enough black accents inside to balance them out with picture frames, chest and light wood floors etc. She decided that they would be too much upkeep with dust, fingerprints etc.
I was just thinking of this! After you designed my fabulous black and white kitchen, I am now thinking of how to bring black down the hallway and have been thinking of painting the doors black. So, do you paint both sides or just one side?
However, if you have a hallway with dark pink beige, builders carpet, brown would look better than black. And if you took that same hallway with any undertone grey carpet, black doors would look better. However, both of these rules can be broken if you had artwork in that hallway that had them relate nicely.
We just painted interior with black doors hallway with my light oaky hardwood floors. Gorgeous esp at night with my hallway lights. Now we want to have black front door n keeping back of front door original color brown stain. Still debating. What do you think please?
Just moved into a new home and will paint doors black. Question is, do I paint all the doors, on all floors, black or is it to much. 1st floor is a great room/entry, living room, kitchen; open floor plan), basement with a bedroom & bath, 2nd floor bedrooms bathroom laundry room Black and white theme throughout. And, do you paint both sides of the door or should the inside flow with the color of the walls inside the room? and what about the sides of the door, black or inside color? Thanks for your help!
