Familyphotos fill that longing: the desire to hold onto those precious memories, to live them again and again, talking about them, reminding one another of what happened just before the photos were taken and how you hoped your little one would comply with the jollities.
During a summer like we are experiencing in Prince Edward County this year, one is reminded of the precious gift that water is and the precarious nature of its provenance. Many in the community have had their wells run dry in the last couple of weeks. The water truck, a common sight, as it makes the rounds, replenishing the wells. It makes me think about water management and conservation on my own property. I think about ways to lessen the strain on my own well. I think about harvesting water from the roofs of the buildings after a rain. My imagination soars as I picture a Tim Burtonesque system of cisterns and aquaducts that collect and distribute this found water from a high elevation on the property down by gravity to the gardens, the dishwashing area, the laundry and the washrooms. I am reminded that a large volume of water is required each week on the farm for our wonderful summer dinner series. We need so much to prepare, execute and to clean up afterwards. Just as each week there is time set aside to conceive of a menu and plan its production, now I am extra motivated to set time aside to think about water; how dependant we are on it, and what I can do on the farm to help sustain its availability to us. Also, I think I will join everyone else in the community in praying for rain.

These precious Angels are the center of all of their worlds! The oldest Sissy had so much fun swinging and little Sis was trying to figure out if she did like the sand or not but either way they all made memories that will be cherished for generations to come and we were all so thankful the sky did not let loose and rain!
This sunrise session for the dear Reeves and Walton Family was so beautiful! They had a color changing sky, a gentle breeze and rolling waves. Their sweet children are every beat of their hearts and they all made memories that warm summer morning that will be cherished for generations to come!
This session was all about this precious little boy, who is every beat of their hearts! He loved the white bucket and playing in the sand with the shells from it. They all made memories that warm summer evening that will be cherished for generations to come.
It is wonderful when family and dear friends can vacation together but even more special when they are also celebrating a Senior that will be starting her last year of high school. These sweet families made memories that will be cherished for a lifetime!

Mere words on this guest book will never be able to describe what and how I felt about Grant. I knew it the first time I met him that he was a very special child and would become a great man some day like his Dad.
My heart grieves for you as my eyes weep for you. But I will always hold the special memories that you gave me and that I have shared with your father. I will never forget when you played football for Rayburn against my son Bradley at College Station. You two guys made two old men very proud that night. Very Very Proud.
There are no words to let you know how sorry we are for your loss. He was a precious young man and loved by so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God strengthen you in the days ahead.
Please except my deepest sympathies on the death of Grant. I remember him so fondly from my days at BHS. I know he is at peace with his Lord. May that thought give you the peace and strength that you need to continue through this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and friends of Grant Kennedy. For several years, he blessed our lives at Camp Blue Haven. His enthusiam and genuine interest in the welfare of others was very contagious. Everytime we saw Grant, whether in a casual passing by, or a more extended visit, a smile always came across our faces. We are grateful that God blessed our lives through Grant, and know that his home in heaven is secure. Thank you God, for Grant Kennedy!

After teaching Grant for just a few weeks, I quickly realized what a special child he was and what an amazing family he had. It was one of my greatest joys in life in teaching this dear beloved student who tried as hard as possible to learn to read, count, and write. What determination he and his family had in encouraging and supporting him in every aspect of his life. He gave more to me than I gave to him. Since leaving Bryan two years ago, I have thought of Grant often, but about 3 days ago, I told Shana I wanted to drive to Bryan to see Grant, Judy, and Ben because I missed them so much. If only I had had the chance to see him one more time, but God does work in His own way. I will be at his memorial service with Shana, who also loved Grant very much. Amy will stay in Fort Worth with her 9 month old son and husband; but being in elementary school with Grant, she sends her love and great sorrow for your loss. My love will be with you always and I will once again teach Grant when I am sent to be where he now resides.
I remember Grant well from my days at BHS. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Please know he touched many lives and your journey inspired me and showed me the true, deep, faithful love between a child and his parents.
