oh and anyone suggesting you master flame... that is a lifelong process. Start at your own pace, focus on one area at a time and when ready, see if you can get a night gig as a render wrangler and use that as a way to log hours on the box. Make a friend with a flame artist to help you when you get stuck. The Senior/Mentor system is mostly dead, however there are some old school artists out there that still love to teach the assistant/junior artist. User groups are a great networking option that may introduce you to a potential mentor.
