Good morning trail friends,

Thanks for all that reported down trees-  the one at mile 1.3 and mile 17 of the Mon River Rail-Trail are now clear. We soon will have work happening on Deckers Creek Trail- clearing the ditch line from Carnegie Street to end of trail. Please be careful around equipment. 

Regional Trail Updates

Cheat River Rail-Trail now has 3 miles OPEN! I shared the Friends of Cheat news on MRTC FB- https://www.facebook.com/monrivertrails

If you are a runner- 5K on this newest rail-trail this Saturday. And off trail- fun times to be had at Cheat Fest- two ways to celebrate FOC and support their work. 

West Fork River Trail near Monongah, the landslide has now been cleared and trail is open. MCPARC manages this rail-trail in Marion County and cleared the slide. There is still the massive damage that has closed trail near the Town of Shinnston in Harrison County. I believe they will be trying to detour trail users from the Waste Treatment Plant to Shinnston via Mahlon and Pike Streets
