Hi everyone,
Please be aware and share- this just posted on our fb page- https://www.facebook.com/monrivertrails

TRAIL CLOSED TODAY, Thursday, August 14, in several locations for storm repair. Mile 12 of the Mon River Rail-Trail between Morgantown city limits and Uffington is getting repaired of wash-outs and culvert work. Work on Deckers Creek Rail-Trail is taking place in mile 11 and 12 between the Sand Plant and Masontown. For your safety and safety of the contractors, please watch for signs and avoid the work area. Trail will be open over the weekend but work expected to continue until Thursday of next week. We also will be assessing damage from yesterday's storm.

Problems reported in several spots from yesterday’s storm- the usual bad spot in mile 7 in the Core Arboretum section.  Also loose stone gravel wash near the Good Bridge at Marilla Park- section paralleling Route 7 up to Deckers Creek Blvd trail crossing.

Things to come-

Before November- Mountain Valley Resources will be working on the five mile section of trail from Opekiska to Pricketts Fort State Park to return it to 10ft width and upgrade culverts.

Fundraising news- stay tuned for the MRTCentury fundraiser. We hope you all will support and help promote our century cyclists!

Thanks, Ella
