Good morning trail friends,

It has been a week of trail spirit and community love.  I normally get reminders of this every day but great to have some to share with you-

Just posted on MRTC FB for you to share-
A new weather shelter has been added to the Deckers Creek Rail-Trail at mile 18.5, past Reedsville and just one mile from our rail-trail end. Scout Tyler Umbright led this project and will deservingly soon receive his eagle scout rank! Thank you to Tyler, the 22 volunteers mostly from Morgantown Troop 93 that helped him make it a reality, and the Trail Volunteer Fund that provided funds for the materials! Enjoy this beautiful new spot to rest on your trail adventure!
If you can- please email, text, or post one or two sentences that I can share as feedback to our funders

This past weekend- city and neighborhood volunteers painted the pillars of the South High Street Bridge in Morgantown on Deckers Creek Trail mile 1! Beautiful!!   photo- https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/kcajy5ispqsh90xq0fjjc/6424502827554900707.jpg?rlkey=3j5f86p3vvu89lexs2lp4puzb&dl=0

I appreciate all of you who have hosted with fun runs, clean-ups, provided trail help to others, took on volunteer hard labor or reporting of landslides or down trees, installed new benches, and our usual trail uplifts that are needed.

Cheers! Ella
