PLEASE BE AWARE and SHARE.  Sorry for short notice- it has been difficult scheduling when dry weather needed. This just posted on MRTC FB if you would like to share-

Section of Mon River Rail-Trail CLOSED from Catawba to Pricketts Fort State Park (trail miles 28 and 29) all this week for resurfacing with compacted limestone. Starting Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21 there will be NO TRAIL USE allowed on this section while putting down and compacting surface. Please find other places to enjoy the rail-trail. Thank you for your patience as we work on improvements to the Mon River Rail-Trail!

Update on West Fork River Rail-Trail

Work continues this week on the West Fork River Rail-Trail. It is CLOSED between Hutchinson and the Harrison County line to remove a huge log jam against the railroad bridge.

Friday for a Cause at the Co-Op will be benefiting Friends of Deckers Creek this coming Friday, Aug 21. from 6-9pm at 131 Pleasant Street. FODC bartenders and live music with the Leftover Stews. Come out and support our watershed friends and a cleaner creek!
