Storm repair work will be happening TOMORROW, August 12 on
the Deckers Creek Rail-Trail and then continuing through this
week. TRAIL CLOSED in areas of culverts being replaced at the
old Sand Plant (mile 11) and at Cascade (mile 12). Watch for
signs and please avoid work area. Disruptions slow the repair
and endanger both you and the contractor.
Things to come that may be subject to change-
We anticipate the closure of the rail-trail from
Morgantown city limits to Uffington (trail miles 11-13.5)
for wash-out repairs and culvert upgrades. This may happen
starting next Monday, Aug 18 to Friday, August 22. More on
this once I know more. I have not posted about it yet. But
will be putting out press once this is a bit more confirmed.
Before November- Mountain Valley Resources will be
working on the five mile section of trail from Opekiska to
Pricketts Fort State Park to return it to 10ft width and
upgrade culverts.
Fundraising news- stay tuned for the MRTCentury
fundraiser. We hope you all will support and help promote
our century cyclists!
Cheers, Ella
