Good morning trail friends,

Be aware and share-
Storms over the weekend resulted in a mudslide on Deckers Creek Trail in mile 1 (below Forest Avenue), slide on the WVU Core Arboretum section of Mon River / Caperton Trail, and many down trees across the rail-trails. Volunteers and crew are working on clearing them today. You can report down trees and other issues by texting Ella at 304-692-6782 with location and ideally a photo.

Clean-ups will take several days and possibly weeks.

Contractor will be working on a few sections of the Mon River Trail this week- north of Uffington at a rock slide (mile 13.1) and in the Hildebrand Lock and Dam area of the Mon River Trail (mile 16-18). Please avoid these work areas if possible.

Hope you all are well and wishing us all the best as we start the week. Ella
