1) Resurfacing Work on the Mon River Rail-Trail-
Opekiska to Pricketts Fort (mile 24-29) has started and
will continue through June. The trail is getting graded off
before it will have new surface put down. With storms, this
means the area is wet and can be muddy. Be alert to equipment
operators and make sure they see you before getting near
equipment. Starting NEXT WEEK (June 29) surfacing will
start getting laid which means some areas will be CLOSED.
If you are planning a ride on this section- consider
starting at Opekiska or Little Falls and heading north toward
Morgantown and staying out of the work zone.
2) MUB Repair to a sewer line will have TRAIL CLOSED
behind WVU Reynolds Hall starting next Tuesday, 6/30. We
anticipate the trail being closed each week Monday-Thursday
until the cleaning is completed. The trail will be opened
back up Friday-Sunday. Friday maybe used as a rain makeup
day to keep project on schedule. We expect work to be
completed in 4-6 weeks.
3) Expect down trees with every storm. As usual, attempt
to text me if you discover a down tree and include location
and ideally a photo. Ella-
