Good morning trail friends,
Be aware and share-

Posted this morning if you want to share-https://www.facebook.com/monrivertrails
Storms over the weekend brought down lots of trees across the rail-trails. Volunteers and crew are still working on clearing them today. The Deckers Creek Rail-Trail and Mon River Rail-Trail south to Opekiska (maybe to the Fort) is clear as of this morning. Mon River Rail-Trail north to the state line still has many trees across it and we have a mudslide in the WVU Core Arboretum (mile 7). Thank you to our trail volunteers! You can report down trees and other issues by texting Ella at 304-692-6782 with location and ideally a photo.

For those that attended the opening reception of our history exhibit or have since seen it at the Masontown Trail Facility, or have enjoyed seeing a creek sign on a trail bridge- please send me a few words or sentences that I can share with funders. This helps us continue to get trail amenity projects. Next one up is getting funding for a weather shelter at mile 18.5 of the Deckers Creek Rail-Trail.

Hope you all are well and wishing us all the best on clean-ups. Ella
