Public Meeting Notice: Pedestrian Bridge connecting First Ward to the Rail Trail

Good morning, 

I recently sent out a Public Meeting Notice for 4/3/25. The original flyer had the start time at 5pm. The actual start time is 5:30pm. 

This public meeting will be about Pedestrian Safety in the Morgantown Area and Don Knotts Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge connecting First Ward to the Rail Trail at the Train Depot in Hazel Ruby McQuain Park! We hope to see you there!

There remains a “trail” from White Park down to the light, serving where Sargaso used to be.  It is steep.  You betcha.

Once upon a time the Green Space Coalition tried to get the trail improved and a signaled crossing installed. Nothing happened.

Indeed, it has been talked about for at least 20 years.
