Good morning everyone,
JUST POSTED and PLEASE SHARE

Resurfacing Work (mile 3-6)-
TODAY- trail work area (mile 3-6) on the Mon River Rail-Trail. Work is finished from Star City to the Van Voorhis Trailhead.  Work continues from Van Voorhis (mile 3.7 north to mile 3.
Please ***DO NOT*** go into areas with Trail Closed signs for your safety and safety of others. Entire section will be open for the weekend. Work will continue next week. Thank you for your patience.

Other news-

Robynn Shannon is out on trail right now- racing against daylight hours on 100+ mile journey.   Most cyclists will cycle tomorrow (Saturday)
The MRTCentury challenge is underway! This year we have more solo cyclists and teams planning to bike 105 miles in 1 day to raise funds for the Mon River Rail-Trails! You will get to know more about them as we count down to ride days. See the full list and DONATE to support the rail-trails you love! http://go.rallyup.com/mrtcentury
You can see the fundraising goal competition at https://go.rallyup.com/c/mrtcenturycyclistcenter

A weekend of Fall Festivals-  Wine and Jazz Festival at HRM Park, Pawpaw Festival at Arboretum, and Buckwheat Festival in Preston County-  I will post about it later today but trail will be congested especially at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park (mile 9.7).  Art vendors and food trucks will be in upper parking lot of HRM Park on Saturday and Sunday with a short trail detour.
