Hello I am Trying to stream from the live u solo to Mona server. Unfortunately it will not receive the signal. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I try with my go pro app and everything works fine, but with the live u there is more info to submit, like the stream name/streamkey. Any idea what info to fill in these fields? Any help is greatly appreciated.livertmpmonaserver.jpg

Hi,

The stream name identifies your stream, you can put anything there, if this doesn't work you should check your network configuration.

Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry, I am not really a pro in this field. What network configuration do you mean? And what should I check for exactly?

No problem,

Did you first try to set a name in the field "stream name"? For example "test123".
Then if the connection is correct you should see the "test123" publication created in MonaServer logs :

Now if nothing happen it could mean that you are not on the same network when using LiveU. I don't know how LiveU works but if the rtmp connection comes from an external address (the public internet) you'll need to setup your router port forwarding to resolve your problem. This is needed if your RTMP client is on the public internet and your server is running on your local network.

This is something that we talked about with Leander here for example : https://groups.google.com/g/monaserver/c/DbNTziBnavY

Yes I set a name, but nothing happens in the mona server window when i try to connect. No logs, nothing. Live U uses 4 Sim cards to connect to a cloud server on which the 4 signals are combined.

This is from the link you sent me: "port = (your request port-> standard is 1935) host = is the ip of your computer which is assigned by the router.
publicPort = (your request port-> standard is 1935) (Released in the router) (Port forwarding) publicHost = Your public IPv4 address (https://www.whatismyip.com)
With these settings, the MonaServer should be ready to receive data. Now it's time to start the server. "

Does that mean that I have to edit the configuration file MonaServer.ini?

The remote address is the one starting with 58. You must set it in LiveU interface.

It is possible that you should restart your router after changing these parameters.
