MonaServer Client disconnects after few seconds

Hello Thomas,

I'm using MonaServer (as downloaded with no modifications) with OBS to stream and VLC player for playback.

Computers in local network connect and stay connected. However, remote computers outside local network connect but get disconnected after a few seconds. All computers are Windows 10 (64)

The following are the messages in MonaServer window:

Server.cpp[119] 2 clients
Session.cpp[118] RTMP 2-"Remote IP":51257 congested
Server.cpp[119] 1 clients

I have enough bandwidth in computer running MonaServer and OBS (100 Mbps upload and download) and remote computer running VLC player (100 Mbps upload and download).

Please advise.

Hi,

Edit or create the MonaTiny.ini (or MonaServer.ini if you use MonaServer.exe) configuration file and add the 2 following lines :

[net]
bufferSize=2000000

Note that you can change this bufferSize until you see an improvement.

By the way what is the bitrate of the stream? Ensure that OBS CPU usage is not too high

You can find an example of the MonaServer configuration file here : https://github.com/MonaSolutions/MonaServer2/blob/master/MonaServer/MonaServer.ini

If you are using MonaTiny you can just rename this file to MonaTiny.ini and copy it in the MonaTiny directory.
