Hello, I'm having a LOT of difficulties for something really tiny. I'm trying to get my GoPro9 to connect to MonaServer to connect to OBS studio.

Downloaded MonaServer, the folder contain: External, sources, www, Makefile, MonaServer(config), MonaServer.vcxproj, MonaServer.vcxproj.filters.

I assume I need to "unzip" or "unpack" the "Milefile" file, but when I google it I get lead to GNU Software: https://www.gnu.org/software/software.en.html

I've also contracted https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-studio-stream-to-multiple-platforms-or-channels-at-once.120193/page-2

I have maybe 4-5 different tutorials that are very in-depth, but I can't even get past the first 60seconds of any of them, any suggestions would help, thank you! - Chris

Hi Chris,

What is the OS platform where you are installing Mona? (Windows? Distribution Linux? etc..)

http://www.monaserver.ovh/installation.html
Says:
"simply start the MonaServer application with administrative rights.
You can also start it as a Windows service:
MonaServer.exe /registerService [/displayName=MonaServer /description="Open Source RTMFP Server" /startup=automatic] "

Like... it doesn't exist.

Hi Christopher,

The fastest way on Windows is to download the MonaServer binaries from sourceforge here : https://sourceforge.net/projects/monaserver/files/MonaServer/
Note that it is MonaServer2 for which you can find the source code on github here : https://github.com/MonaSolutions/MonaServer2

Regards

Thomas

@jammet...
Thank you for your quick reply!
I'll try again, and update yay or nay as I tinker with it during my Lunch and after Work.

I've seen your profile picture before around the tech forums!
Thank you so much for helping the community!

Getttinngggg there, I 'think' MonaServer is installed.
I hope I did it correctly, I tossed in,
MonaServer_Win64.zip,
MonsServer2-master.zip into the same MonaServer folder,
also grabbed srt-master.zip

cmd shows:
Application.cpp[134] MonaServer v2.723
Application.cpp[136] Load configuration file MonaServer.ini
Protocols.h[82] RTMFP server started on 0.0.0.0:1935
Protocols.h[82] RTMP server started on 0.0.0.0:1935
Protocols.h[82] RTMPS server started on 0.0.0.0:8443
Protocols.h[82] HTTP server started on 0.0.0.0:80
Protocols.h[82] WS server started on 0.0.0.0:80
Protocols.h[82] HTTPS server started on 0.0.0.0:443
Protocols.h[82] WSS server started on 0.0.0.0:443
Protocols.h[82] SRT server started on 0.0.0.0:9710

Still not sure how to run it or test it, but I'll continue with http://www.monaserver.ovh/installation.html for now.

I'm at: LuaJIT installation
I believe I've edited the MSVCBUILD.bat file, added to MonaServer directory.
Added  /DLUAJIT_ENABLE_LUA52COMPAT  on the same-line as @set LJCOMPILE=cl /nologo /c /O2 /W3 /D_CRT_SECURE_NO_DEPRECATE

Then it says Compile, "Finally you can compile luajit (make or src/msvcbuild.bat)"
Opening MSVCBUILD does nothing, the Makefile is uneditable.
-----
If I can get this done, I think I almost have it, but do I just run MonaServer.exe and let that dos prompt launch? Can I close it after? - Is there any sort of interface? or is does this "Opening ports" in a MonaServer persistent?

I just "direct OBS" to the MonaServer port? And launch the Streaming Device?

I'm good I think!?
Thank you for your assistance!

I hope this doesn't cause a problem, but we'll see shorly:
MonaServer.cpp[154] Application /publish doesn't exist
