Has anyone been to Dutch Wonderland?  The website says some of the rides are closed for construction of Merlin's something.  I'm wondering if it is worth it to go this Saturday.  Please share any advice you have!

Thanks,
Shelley

We went last year and Bridget loved it!  We're planning to go again in August.  It was nice that she was big enough to ride most things and nice that it was mostly littles, no teenagers.  I know they have the train out of commission which is a shame, we rode that several times. The sky thing which is like a chairlift, no big loss.  Not sure what else is closed but I didn't get the impression it was a large amount of the park.  Plus there's the water park part. We filled a whole day and didn't even do that. So my opinion is, go!

It's great fun, we go at least once a year. We plan to go in a couple weeks or in mid-August. Hoping that new roller coaster actually opens soon!

Kerry's right, there's lots to do. With a one day pass you get in the evening before for free. We do that to do rides, water and carnival games all spread out. Red roof inn next door to park is easy and inexpensive to stay if you can make it an overnight. Subway in the park and Pizza Hut across the street make handy meals.

Thank you Kerry and Jenni for the info on Dutch Wonderland, especially the extra info on getting in the evening before free with next day ticket.  We ended up not going last Saturday because my car had a breakdown on Friday. I'm hoping to get my car back today, and that my 11 year old 231,000 miles Subaru Forester will continue to run. Wish me luck!

Smiles,
Shelley
