Our AppCircus showcase event on the 28th provides a unique opportunity
for local mobile companies to demonstrate their prowess in front of
their peers, the local tech community, and the wider attendees of the
@Mobile event.

Each presenter will get a three minute slot on stage to demonstrate
their "mobile app" (defined v. loosely - no constraints wrt tech
used), preferably on device though other approaches may be possible if
there is a good reason, and persuade the audience it is the best in
the room. The audience will then decide the winner via a mobile
internet based voting system.

The winner will be nominated to represent us at the Mobile Premier
Awards (http://www.mobilepremierawards.com/) finals during Mobile
World Congress in February. This is a great opportunity to gain
considerable international exposure within the mobile industry.

I am delighted to announce that Informatics Ventures (http://
www.informatics-ventures.com/) will support the winner to the tune of
up to £350 in travel and subsistence expenses in support of their
representing Edinburgh at the final in Barcelona.

In addition Interactive Scotland (http://www.scottish-enterprise.com/
interactivescotland) are kindly providing prizes on the night.

In order to apply to participate you must register your company and
your app via the AppCircus global site - http://appcirc.us/event/appcircus-momoedi
- and in addition obviously register to attend the event itself via
EventWax - http://momoedi.eventwax.com/appcircusmomoedi

The deadline for applying to present is Thursday 14th October - i.e.
Thursday next week. If you have any problems registering please get in
touch with me direct and I will assist.

Geoff.

Since there seems little point in having such an early cut-off for
submissions, and especially since I will be away all next week anyway,
I have asked that the AppCircus folks put back the submission deadline
to 5pm on Monday 25th October - with the line-up then being formally
confirmed on Tuesday 26th.
