Informatics Ventures at Edinburgh University are kicking off a mobile
apps interest group. Depending on who you talk to this might end up
being a student focused effort, or more like a "techmeetup for
mobile".
They are holding a launch event on Wednesday 28th October 1830-2030
which will feature a talk by the RBS Head of Research and Innovations
on how the bank uses mobile to engage with its customers.
They will also kick off a software competition for a chance to win up
to £3000 for an innovative mobile finance app.
