If you have to turn off subtitles every time you watch a Kids TV show or movie, play a title with a maturity rating of Teens or above set to your preferred subtitle language. This will save your settings for future viewing.
If changing your subtitle options to None on your 2011 or 2012 Samsung Smart TV does not turn off subtitles, we recommend using another device to stream Netflix. Because this issue only occurs on older versions of the Netflix app, you will only be able to adjust your subtitle settings by using an alternate device.
Quit Disney on the TCL. On an phone, tablet, etc. launch the Disney app, (with the same account) select the movie you want with subtitles and select the language (upper right corner). Check it has the right subtitles, stop it and launch the Disney app on the TCL, selecto and play the movie. It should have the right subtitle language.
I have the same problem and the * is not the solution as I have it set for english subtitles and the subtitles on my TCL tv with Roku built in are always in english EXCEPT on the Disney+ app. On every other device the Disney+ app has the advertised closed caption button in the top right.
Some channel manages its own content programming, including closed captions and subtitles on contents. Reach out to the channel If changing the captions on the Roku settings does not resolve the issue.

If you can't see subtitles or language options, they may not be available for that show or film. Check the show or film descriptions page in the Apple TV app to find out what subtitles or languages are available.
This wikiHow teaches you how to turn on subtitles in a YouTube video, using a computer, phone or tablet. Some videos on YouTube include official, community-contributed or auto-translated subtitles or closed captions. You may be able to enable official or auto-translated subtitles in English or other languages in many videos.
The purpose of subtitles is to convert the audio dialogues of a video into text, as well as translate the dialogue of a video into other languages. The purpose of captions is to generate dialogue text as well as include other program content, including sound effects, music, laughter, speaker identification and location. Closed captions can be turned off in a video, but Open captions are embedded in the video.
Content creators often hire a freelancer to create a video transcript. Now you can save time, money and add value to any video like YouTube videos, gaming videos, meeting recordings, training videos and even branded videos with the accurate subtitle generator in Clipchamp.
There are two ways to add subtitles to your videos. The fastest way is using the free subtitle generator that creates subtitles for you. Alternatively, you can manually add the Subtitle text to your video for smaller actions like subheadings, topics, and numbering. This tutorial will explain how to add subtitles using the auto-captions feature in Clipchamp.
You will automatically return to the editor and see your subtitle text being generated in the captions tab on the property panel. The generation time will depend on your internet connection, speed, and the length of your video. Once ready, they will appear in the preview along with your transcript in the captions tab.
Click on the subtitle on the video preview to open editing options on the property panel. In the text tab choose from a wide variety of fonts and edit the size of your subtitle. You can also change the alignment to left, middle and right, and use the position presets.
Subtitles are automatically created in white font text with a black font background, but feel free to use the primary color picker to change the text color and the background color picker to change the subtitle background color.
You can also add more personalized subtitles to your video using the caption text options in the text tab. Choose from subtitles, karaoke title, multi lines, rapid and more. This feature is perfect for adding subheadings and any other on-screen prompts you would like viewers to see. Click on the text tab on the sidebar then drag and drop the subtitle font onto the timeline above your video preview.
To save your video with subtitles, click on the export button then select a video resolution. We recommend selecting 1080p for the best quality for social media videos, if you do not have any 4K assets.
Adding subtitles to any video is an important step to creating inclusive content and giving wider audiences like deaf or hard of hearing communities the ability to enjoy your videos. Those who prefer to watch videos on mute or have difficulty understanding accents and languages also greatly receive help from subtitles.
If you are looking to improve your video or YouTube channel engagement, try adding subtitles to your content. Viewers can focus on your video and immerse themselves in your content with the support of video captions. Subtitles can help with visual cues like subheadings, date and time, help follow the videos storyline, and create emphasis on important information.
At the country level, under-5 mortality rates in 2020 ranged from 2 deaths per 1000 live births to 115 deaths per 1000 live births, and the risk of dying before turning 5 for a child born in the highest-mortality country was about 65 times higher than in the lowest-mortality country.
Alignment turning is the only method by which all relevant parameters of a mounted lens can be aligned, in particular the gap between two apex points and the contact surface. In addition, a large number of different cell sizes can be processed. And finally, high precision turning machines achieve excellent production accuracies of up to 0.5 µm.
The alignment turning method using an alignment chuck is described in the figures below (Fig. 3). Here, first the lens cell is fixed in an adjustable alignment chuck with the lens in place. Then the position of the optical axis of the lens to the spindle axis is measured with the OptiCentric system. Using this alignment chuck, the lens is then aligned so that its two centers of curvature are located as closely as possible to the axis of rotation of the spindle.
Then the spindle is rotated and the contact surfaces of the cell are machined with a sharp (diamond) turning tool, resulting in a precisely machined surface of the cell, aligned parallel to the spindle axis. In addition to the outer surface of the cell, it is also possible to machine the front and rear contact surface during the turning process. To do this the turning tool is moved perpendicular to the spindle axis instead of along the optical axis.
Fig. 3: The alignment turning process A) optical axis of the lens is determined, B) & C) cell is aligned to the optical axis of the lens, the edge of the cell is machined so that it is parallel to the optical axis
Alignment turning on the ATS-C is implemented without an alignment chuck. The mounted lens is held on the horizontally mounted spindle and the optical axis is measured with OptiCentric measuring technology. To adjust the mounting surfaces to the optical axis, the turning tool moves in x- and z-direction.
The lens is already fixed in the cell during the alignment turning process. This means that low-stress adhesives with very long curing times can be used for highly precise optics. Similarly, the lenses can be crimped or held by screw rings when the available adhesives are not suitable for the intended application. Since the lens has been aligned at the beginning of the process, the optical axis of the lens and the mechanical axis of the cell are precisely aligned when the cell is machined on a turning machine corresponding to the optical axis of the lens. In order to achieve high accuracy TRIOPTICS has integrated additional measurement technology into its alignment turning stations, alongside the high-resolution autocollimators. These include tactile and optical test systems that ensure a highly accurate measurement of the relevant mechanical parameters. This means the highest precision is achieved by a gradual machining process, in which the cell accuracy is checked after each machining step. The cells used in alignment turning do not need to meet exceptionally tight tolerances before machining. The cell offset only needs to be large enough to meet the required tolerance after machining.
The distance from the lens vertex to the upper contact surface can be manufactured with an accuracy of up to 0.5 μm. Similarly, the diameter can be manufactured with an absolute accuracy of 2 μm. The remaining centration error can be reduced to less than 0.5 μm by using a suitable alignment chuck. Moreover, a low coherent interferometer can be used to measure the center thickness on the machine, so that the contact surfaces can be manufactured with high precision with respect to each lens vertex. Multiple mounted lenses manufactured by alignment turning are then assembled to an objective lens. The method of machining in the micron range ensures that all lenses are aligned to each other. This allows mounted lenses to be assembled in a tube without further adjustment steps
