I receive this error message when I try to search PDB using the search tab.

This can usually be fixed by changing the way ICM retrieves PDB files.

You can change  your pdbDirStyle  to ftp e.g.

icm/4yzi> pdbDirStyle
  pdbDirStyle      = "PDB web-site"
        1 = "1abc.pdb"
        2 = "pdb1abc.ent"
        3 = "ab/pdb1abc.ent"
        4 = "ab/pdb1abc.ent.Z"
        5 = "ab/pdb1abc.ent.gz"
        6 = "PDB ftp-site"
        7 = "PDB web-site" <-- current choice

icm/4yzi> pdbDirStyle = 6
