Whywould you cancel the cease and desist if you own the products and were about to release an event? Why was the event delayed and your persecution of the individual ceased? And then make it open source ?
There are so many fucking two faced people on these forums as well I could make a long list of that completely pussy out and act like TU is great here but in those GMT classic discords they talk shit about tower and their developers all the time. You people are pathetic pussies.
I ended up powering the server off inside the instance and clicking generate RCON password, which put the custom RCON password back into the srcds module kvp. It was not there prior to this, even though I know for a fact I clicked that button last month so there would be a password in there.
P.S. You can reproduce a similar problem by running the console command mp_loglevel without any arguments, that will immediately break the RCON tab, and also stop a server from properly rebooting or shutting down via AMP, it will instead permanently hang until you click kill. Maybe that will help you troubleshoot since that can be reproduced every time?
Step 1: Please make sure that there are no other config files or plugins that might be overwriting the RCON password during runtime or on map changes. The line you commented out in server.cfg is correct, as we prefer settings like RCON passwords to be handled outside such files for better security.
Step 5: Restart your server and test the RCON connection immediately upon a fresh start, and then again after a map change, to see if the issue correlates with specific server events.
I just was able to reproduce the issue exactly this time, and finally have concise steps! Furthermore, my external RCON client source admin tool is still working, while AMP is unable to connect. The RCON password has not changed.
Step 5: Examine any potential logs from AMP after the server crash that might indicate where the RCON connection is breaking down. Running ampinstmgr lastlog [INSTANCENAME] might provide some useful insights.
Furthermore, this is a fresh gmod install with zero addons or configuration files. I reproduced this yesterday with a fresh windows 10 install and a fresh amp install with no other programs installed on the machine.
want to import models that i made in to garrys mod but i cant figure out how to convert them in to .mdl files. I dont have any moding experience with the source engine. I tried to find a program to convert them but with no luck.My models are textured (.png files for the textures and the .mtl for the mapsing)Any wany to do it?
You will need to convert the obj file to smd, and have your normal textures converted to vtf. There is a program to do this called OBJ2SMD. It turns your obj and png into smd and vtf by just dragging and dropping the model and texture into the program window. But it only lets you use ONE texture on the whole model. Here is the link:
Some addons for Garry's Mod require that additional content from other Valve source games be made available, in order for those addons to work correctly. This content is used by certain game modes (DarkRP being the most common one) to provide missing information for props and physics information needed by the game for it to work correctly.
You will need to copy files from Counter Strike Source onto your Garry's Mod server, and then the files must be "mounted" by editing a configuration file, which will tell Gmod where the files are located.
If you already own a copy of Counter Strike Source, find the local installation directory on your computer and look for a folder called cstrike. Inside the cstrike folder you should see the following contents:
Select all the files, and use a utility program to "zip" them up, so that they can be copied and moved easier. If you don't have a utility that does this, we suggest using 7zip, as it's free, and very easy to use. You can download 7zip from here.
Next, go to the control panel for your Nodecraft Garry's Mod server, and click on the File Manager tab. Make sure you are in the main directory. You can tell if you are in the main directory if you all you see in the file path box is a slash ( / ), like the example below:
Upload the previously zipped CSS files to newly created "cstrike" folder on your Garry's Mod Server. You can either use the drag-and-drop feature in the file manager, or an actual FTP or "File Transfer Protocol" client to upload the files.
An FTP client is faster and more secure (it double checks the content as its uploaded, and resends information if needed). We have a basic tutorial on how to use FTP in our knowledgebase, which you can view HERE
If you are using the drag-and-drop feature, click the "upload" button, or drag the CSS zip file into the window until the you see the upload target appear. Release the file in the "Drop files here" box and it will start the upload.
Change the file path name in the second quoted string to "/home/container/cstrike". Why does it need to be "/home/container/cstrike" when you don't see any folder called "home" or "container" on your server? Oh, they're there. Those folders are part of the backend system for Nodecraft that customers normally don't see (you normally don't need to deal with them, it's all handled automatically by our system). But in this one instance of adding CSS files to Garry's Mod, it's necessary for them to be in the filepath.

Garry's Mod is a physics-based sandbox game that, in its base game mode, has no set objectives. The player is able to spawn non-player characters, ragdolls, and props, and interact with them by various means.[1] Using the "physics gun", ragdolls and props can be picked up, rotated, and frozen in place.[2][3] The individual limbs of ragdolls can also be manipulated.[4] The "tool gun" is a multi-purpose item for tasks such as welding and constraining props together, and altering the facial expressions of ragdolls.[2]
Garry's Mod includes the functionality to modify the game by developing scripts written in the Lua programming language.[5] Notable mods (known as "addons") include Spacebuild, Wiremod, Elevator: Source, DarkRP, Prop Hunt, and Trouble in Terrorist Town.[6] Specialised servers, known as Fretta servers, rotate between custom game modes every fifteen minutes.[7] Garry's Mod version 12 introduced the "Toybox" section, through which the player could browse and install user-created mods. This was replaced by support for the Steam Workshop in version 13.[8]
In late 2009, Facepunch launched the "Fretta Contest", a competition in which people were to develop Garry's Mod game modes using the proprietary Fretta programming framework, with the winning game mode to be added to the base game.[9] The winner of this contest was Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT), which was added to the game in July 2010, alongside another mode, Dogfight: Arcade Assault.[9][10] TTT assigns players to three groups: Traitors, Detectives, and Innocents, similar to the party game Mafia. Detectives are known to all players, whereas Traitors are only known to other Traitors and otherwise appear as Innocents. While Traitors attempt to eliminate all other players, Innocents and Detectives need to co-operate to identify and eliminate all Traitors. To do the latter, Detectives are given special equipment, such as DNA scanners that can trace a dead player's killer.[6][11]
The game mode Prop Hunt was created by Andrew "AMT" Theis and popularised through Garry's Mod.[12] In Prop Hunt, the players on one team are disguised as props and set to hide on the game map while the other team seeks after them.[13] Game modes based on Prop Hunt were later included with games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered,[14] Call of Duty: Black Ops III,[15] Fortnite Battle Royale,[16] and Genshin Impact.[17] Players recreated it in others, such as Rocket League and Fortnite Creative.[12][18]
In July 2009, four developers working under the name "PixelTail Games" opened a Garry's Mod server called GMod Tower. GMod Tower was a network of servers, designed as a social media platform for users to play minigames with friends and socialise in a hub area. Within hours of the server's opening, the website for GMod Tower reached two million views. GMod Tower temporarily shut down between January and April 2012.[19] PixelTail Games later expanded GMod Tower into Tower Unite, a standalone game that replaced GMod Tower upon its early access release in April 2016.[19][20]
Garry's Mod has been used as the basis for machinima. One of the more notable examples is Half-Life: Full Life Consequences, which is based on a fan fiction set in the Half-Life universe, penned in 2008 by a user named Squirrelking.[21][22] YouTube user Djy1991 used Garry's Mod to animate the fan fiction, using literal interpretations of some of the work's typographical errors and awkward grammar.[21]
In June 2022, the author of the popular Garry's Mod addons "Glue Library", "View Extension", "Action Extension", and "Ambient Occlusion" altered their work to display shock images such as goatse and play loud sounds. The addons' new source files contained curses directed at Newman, Valve co-founder Gabe Newell, and Steam moderators. According to PC Gamer, the files appeared to indicate the changes were a "deliberate prank" and not due to the addons being compromised. Another user changed their "Trollface Playermodel" addons to present the user with a different set of explicit images and slurs loudly played back in the voice of the cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants.[23][24]
