Hi, I've been fascinated to read the gazillion favorable comments on
Moleskinerie from readers who favor the Pilot G2 gel pen for their
Moleskins. I have tried in vain to find out how many different colors
of this wonderful tool are presently available. Pilot's North
American webpage lists eleven colors (with samples), but I have
fourteen different colors recently purchased from Walmart in a ten-
pack, and a four-pack configuration. The ten-pack included, in
addition to the now standard blue, green, red, and black, six new
colors: dark blue, pink, burgundy, turquoise, orange, and purple.
The four-pack included four new colors, brown, light green, light
blue, and blue green. The "dark blue" seems much too black to be the
"navy blue" on Pilot's website, and the "blue green" besides being
bluish is not a deep enough shade of green to be their "hunter
green". All the other colors match Pilot's exemplars very closely, so
I don't think my faulty eyesight can explain this discrepancy.
Plainly, Pilot's website does not account for brown, light green, and
light blue, and if I am correct that the " dark blue" isn't Pilot's
"navy blue" and that the "blue green" isn't their "hunter green", then
these are two more colors they don't account for.

So just how many colors are in the current G2 range (the old school
G2, not the many variants like the G2 Pro, etc.)? Can someone here
provide a link with a complete list of the available colors, or better
yet a link showing the complete range of colors? I have emailed Pilot
for answers but they haven't gotten back to me. I am mighty curious
about this. Like the adman says, I want to "Collect 'em all kidz!".
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you like the .5mm G2's from pilot, you may also want to have a look
at the following pens. I use them exclusively with my moleskines, the
Pilot Hi-Tec-C 0.5mm they also come in .40mm .30mm and .25mm as well
as like 25 different colors. http://www.jpens.com/index.php?cPath=43
I think they are worth the price, and they really are not that much
more in cost, and I get what I like. Plus I think you will find all
the colors you are looking for and all sizes.

Have fun

Fourteen sounds right. Costco sells packages with that many colors
IIRC.
