WINSCP Connection Failure

Good afternoon helpful group!

I was trying to sign in to upload data through WINSCP (Version 5.17.7, build 10640, run on Windows 10) to GNPS. I use two different accounts; one for research and one I created this semester for teaching examples. My research account connected perfectly, but my new class login has repeatedly failed to connect. I used the following parameters:

File protocol: FTP

Encryption: No encryption

Host name: massive.ucsd.edu (Note: I also tried the host "ccms-ftp01.ucsd.edu" and I get a connection error as well)

Port number: 21

User name: as entered 

Password: as entered

And the result I get back is always: "Disconnected from server. Connection failed. OOPS: 500 OOPS: child died"

Any idea why I'm getting this error with only one of these accounts? It's quite perplexing, but maybe I've not set something up the right way in the FTP or in this second GNPS account.

Good morning. 

I'm new at the GNPS universe, and I'm having a problem similar to Josh's. 

I downloaded and installed WinCSP, and trying to log in I got the following error message: 

"No connections could be made because the target machine actively refused them. Connection failed."

I used the following parameters:

File protocol: FTP

Encryption: No encryption

Host name: massive.ucsd.edu 

Port number: 21

Could you please help me?

I am also a new user for the GNPs, right now I am facing a problem for GNPs can not connect mine Winscp program. Did you find some method to resolve it?
